ConSet Electric Height Adjustable Desk - 47-1/4" x 31-1/2"

An electric sit-stand desk that adjusts from 26.75" to 46.5" high with push-button controls. The 31.5-inch depth gives you more workspace than compact models while still fitting in most office layouts.

Desktop Surface

The 47.25" x 31.5" work surface is made from 1-inch thick melamine with ABS edge banding. At 31.5 inches deep, this is closer to standard desk depth, which means more room to spread out your work. You can fit a monitor at the back and still have plenty of space for a keyboard, mouse, notepad, and other items you need within reach.

Electric Height Adjustment

The motor adjusts height at about 1 inch per second using straightforward up and down controls. Press the button and watch the desk smoothly move to your preferred height. Switching from sitting to standing takes seconds, so you're more likely to actually change positions throughout the day instead of staying stuck in one spot.

Why the Extra Depth Matters

The 8-inch difference between the 23.5" shallow model and this 31.5" version is significant. With the extra depth, you can push your monitor back further for better viewing distance. You've got room for papers, notebooks, or a tablet alongside your computer. If you use dual monitors or like having reference materials open while you work, the deeper surface makes that practical.

Build Quality

Powder-coated steel base with 2-stage telescopic legs. Load capacity is 154 lbs, which handles a monitor or two, laptop, keyboard, and typical desk accessories without issue. The frame stays stable when you're typing or leaning on the surface, even at full height.

Who This Desk Works For

Home office workers who need a proper workspace, not just a laptop perch. People who use dual monitors or spread out documents while working. Anyone under about 6'2" who wants sit-stand flexibility with enough surface area to actually be productive. Students who need space for textbooks and notes alongside their computer.

Assembly

Ships in three boxes. Attach the legs to the desktop, connect the motor, plug it in. Basic tools required. Takes 30-45 minutes if you're working alone, faster with help. Instructions are straightforward.

The Controls

Simple up and down buttons without memory presets or complicated programming. Push up to raise, push down to lower. The control panel mounts underneath the desktop where you can reach it easily but it stays out of your way.

Compared to the Shallow Model

If you're deciding between the 23.5" and 31.5" depth options, think about how you actually work. The shallow version saves floor space but limits what you can fit on the surface. This deeper version takes up more room but gives you a functional workspace that doesn't feel cramped.

Motor and Power

Single motor drive with UL-certified power supply. Plugs into any standard outlet. Uses less than 1 watt on standby, so you're not wasting electricity when the desk isn't moving. The motor makes some noise during adjustment but it's not loud enough to disrupt a phone call.

Safety Features

Built-in anti-squeeze feature that requires proper assembly before the desk will adjust. Prevents accidental operation during setup or if components come loose.

Height Range Reality

The 26.75" to 46.5" range works for most people of average height. If you're over 6'2", you might find the maximum height isn't quite tall enough for comfortable standing. If you're under 5'4", the minimum height should work fine but test it if possible.

Long-Term Durability

ConSet has been manufacturing standing desk systems for over 20 years. The motor and lift mechanism are designed for daily use over multiple years. These aren't components that fail after a few months of regular adjustments.

What You Don't Get

No built-in cable management tray. No programmable height memory buttons. No integrated power outlets or USB ports. This is a straightforward electric standing desk—solid frame, good motor, functional surface.

Real-World Use

The 31.5-inch depth feels like a real desk, not a narrow shelf. You can comfortably work with a monitor, keyboard, and have room for coffee, notes, or whatever else you need nearby. The electric adjustment is smooth and reliable. You'll hear the motor but it's not annoying.

Best Use Cases

Primary workstation for home offices. Office desk for employees who want sit-stand capability. Student desk with room for study materials. Dual monitor setups with space for accessories. Anyone who spends serious time at their desk and needs elbow room to work.
