Most standing desks make you buy a whole new desk. gen2's UP system works differently: it's a set of motorized legs that mount under a worksurface, either a new one or the one already in your office. That makes it a strong choice for offices adding sit-stand to existing furniture, for conference and collaboration tables, and for oversized or odd-shaped tops that a standard standing-desk frame can't carry.

How it works

• Each leg is its own lift. There's no fixed frame tying the legs together, so UP can handle rectangles, L-shapes, peninsulas and long tables, often with fewer legs than a traditional frame needs.
• Quick and quiet. Three-stage motors raise and lower the surface faster and with less noise than many competing systems.
• Save your favorite heights. The LED handset stores 4 height presets, with manual up and down buttons for everything in between.
• Three finishes. Black, grey or white legs.
